jan 24, 2019 many researchers have already found it possible to use copper slag as a concrete aggregate, because copper slag has similar particle size characteristics likely to that of sand. hence the study focuses on the various percentage replacement of copper slag with fine aggregate varying from 38% to 52% at interval of 2%, since replacement of 40% to concrete can be improved by partial replacement of fine aggregate with copper slag and was found that 60% replacement gives optimum results.j. ramesh kumar, ramana studied on use of copper slag and fly ash in high strength concrete, given that concrete mixes were tested for workability, density, compressive strength, tensile partial replacement of copper slag in fine aggregate and cement reduces the cost of making concrete. replacement of copper slag increases the self weight of concrete specimens to the maximum of 8%. the initial and final setting time of copper slag admixed concrete is higher than control concrete.
